Overview

Location: Tomb of the Giants, accessible after the Pinwheel Servant area.
Access condition: Reaching him requires progressing through the Tomb of the Giants past the Pinwheel Servant area.
Can die: yes
Death or hostility conditions: Uniquely among covenant leaders in this compendium, defeating him is mandatory to progress the main story (he is also one of the four Lord Souls needed for the Lordvessel). Source states killing him does NOT break the Gravelord Servant covenant, though covenant rank upgrades require waiting until the following playthrough (NG+) to continue.
Keeps selling if hostile survives: not applicable -- he is a mandatory boss fight, not a survivable hostile state
Dialogue progression: Titled "First of the Dead," one of the four original Lords who found Souls of Lords in the First Flame and fought in the war against the Dragons; retreated deep underground once the Age of Fire began. No further branching dialogue documented.
Relocates: no
Relocation note: none recorded
Note: This record covers Nito's NPC/covenant-leader role specifically, not his boss-fight mechanics (health, attacks, resistances), which belong to the separate Boss Compendium (`all_bosses.json`) and are out of scope here.
