Overview
- Location
- Undead Parish, in the old church building -- across the stone bridge guarded by Undead Soldiers, on the lowest level of the three-story structure. A Prowling Demon occupies a nearby room.
- Access condition
- not documented (no explicit prerequisite stated beyond reaching Undead Parish)
- Can die
- yes
- Death or hostility conditions
- Can be attacked and killed. Becomes extremely dangerous if hostile -- devastating punch combos and drop kicks. Drops Humanity x3, Blacksmith Hammer, and the Crest of Artorias on death. Recommended counter if he turns hostile: block with a high-stability shield and backstab during his recovery.
- Keeps selling if hostile survives
- not documented
- Dialogue progression
- Requests specific ascension embers as the player obtains them (Large Ember, Very Large Ember). Answering "No" makes him repeat the request on the next conversation. Providing the Very Large Ember before the Large Ember can block access to +5 and Raw weapon upgrades -- an ember-order trap, not a bug.
- Relocates
- no
- Relocation note
- none recorded
- Note

Services

- Weapon ascension: +5 Normal weapons to Raw, Divine, or Occult paths (via the matching ember)
- Equipment repair for a soul cost based on the item's degradation
- Sells Titanite Shards, various weapons/shields, arrows, bolts, and upgrade boxes (Weapon Smithbox, Armor Smithbox, Repairbox)
